First weedie need ID help!
I just scored a "Weed Eater GTI 19T" for free. Serial No. 94293N01404
I has the carb and exh at rear Ryobi style.
Carb is 11mm Walbro 2 needle.
Any idea of cc and it worthiness for conversion.
And if it is a 33cc any good Monocoupe plans to suit.

Hi Ralph
Yes the 19 does refer to the cut from the info I have. I have scoured the net looking for info on the engine with no luck. I suspect its a 31-33 Ryobi, but want to make sure.
Its a single ring piston not chromed bore either. It was originally purchased in the mid 90's.

All what i could find is the exploded parts ordering guide, you might have to get ahold of poulan and check with them, by this guide it looks like its a GT 119T

I pulled it down today, serial prefixes start with 28, which suggests its a 28cc. The exhaust is spring mounted too.
Is it worth converting ?????

They are all worth converting, i stipped mine down and threw everything out so i have no idea what model i have, i converted to gas/glow and by the numbers it's making all right HP and at 32oz i think it is plane worthy, you never know til you try

Anything that says Weedeater is made by Poulan. Most craftsman and some Huskys are also made by Poulan.
Go to my site and look at the poulan gallery. You might find a match.

I had a look, nothing with rear carb & exh. You would swear it was a Ryobi at first glance.
The spring mounted exhaust will need to be custom made. It's light, just over 2lbs with carb and no muffler.
Surley someone has had a go at one.
Microsprint, how do the gas/glows run inverted?

Actually i think it ran better inverted but it will be right side up on the plane it's going on. I found my CC on the weedeater i had by searching the walbro carb #, they only listed a LT 21 with my WT 380 carb so i figure i have a 21 cc. Get the carb # and do a search on that, i can't remember the site that had it, but let me know what model the carb is.

I also have a weedeter gt117t that has the carb on the back and can't find the cc's ? could be a good little engine it is very light. I would run this on gas/glo which would really keep the weight down.Hope some one finds out the size of this little guy.

Well it looks like you may have to take the cylinder and head off and measure the bore and stroke to find out what displacement these engines are.

RE: First weedie need ID help!
Ok some help needed guys.
I measured the bore and I got 37mm. When measuring the stroke I measued from the sparkplug hole whilst the piston is a BTDC and got 38mm, moved it to TDC and had 9m from piston to plughole then I subtract the 9mm from the stroke, I hope this is right.
So I had 37x29mm = 31.1cc Yay!
Whats a good walbro to try on this?
