Default Echo weed-eater size???

Hey Y'all,

I was given an Echo GT-160AE trimmer that seems to be in good shape. I would like to convert it since I already have an Echo GT-2100? Does anyone know what displacement it has? Does the 160 mean 16cc? What sort of power could be expected?

Thanks.

Doug

16cc it is! there is also a 13.8cc echo trimmer. i doubt either of these weigh any less than the 21.2cc though.

Doug, I just stripped one down last week. There are pics of the bare engine at the bottom of the last page on the "Don't forget Echo" thread below. It was too heavy with the flywheel and stock ignition so I am putting on a CH ignition unit.
