Plane for Ryobi?
I just bought my first engine for conversion today at harbor freight for $50.00 I need to know what you guys think about the Seagull Laser 200. I can get one really cheap at a shop that is closing. Here are some pics of the weedy & the specs of the plane.

Did you get the Laser 200 for your Ryobi? If you can build it to 11 lb with the Ryobi, your cubic wing loading CWL = 15.2 which is high. I put a Ryobi 30 cc engine in a .90 sized plane that was about 744 sq in in area and the CWL was 15.0 and it flew.
A CWL of 7 is a floater so at 15, if your engine is not running right, you will struggle to take off. On my first flight I made it into the air but because the engine was not run-in, it sank and I belly-flopped her in. Broke the fuselage in half.
I glued her back together and popped a 20x8 APC trimmed to 19x8. She took off and flew well until flutter removed my left aileron. With the heavy wing loading, I could not keep her in the air.

I abandoned the project after it backfire and the flywheel went one direction and the propellar went the other. I do still have it but never messed with it any more. I bought a 78" Super Chipmunk to put it on and a few years ago I bought a DLE 30 to put on it but that has not been done either.
