Hire somebody to port Echo 2.1

Hello,

I have a Echo PE2000. 2.1 engine that I need more power out of. It is being used in a RC boat.

Is there anyone who can help?

Thanks

Have a look at my detailed "Sticky" above about hopping up a Homelite. Same techniques apply to any engine.

Hi,
I am wanting to hire you to do it. I sent you some PM's to get the process started. I would rather just pay somebody that has done it than risk ruining the engine or wasting my time.

Please help.

Happy New Year.

If you need the full job on it,like water cooling the head, water cooled manifold, mounts, port work, and other little things to get more out of it,chipbreakr (Jim Johnson) on here and JRCBD does a great job on boat engines. He hasn't been on here since 2015, but here's his last known email,[email protected] and his phone number ,304-610-2287 or the last four digits may be 3287. I couldn't tell if it began with a 2 or a 3 He's been on Jim's r/c Boat Dock, so if the email and phone don't work contact him from Jim's if you're a member.
I looked up the Echo PE2000 and found out it is about 21cc.May not be a good candidate for an r/c boat engine to get any speed out of.Most boat engines are in the 25 to 30 cc range.
Probably would made a good air cooled engine for an airplane or airboat.

Sorry but I am traveling and have only limited/sporadic internet service. Also I apologize but I am not presently doing custom engine work. I just convert and hop up an occasional engine to sell or for myself. I am going through some extensive changes in my life plus recovering from two major back operations.

If you can locate one, a 23.6cc Echo from the late '90's is the best one to start with. Also if you find an Echo 25cc cheap or damaged, grab it as you can fabricate a cylinder spacer that will allow you to create a really good engine using the better 23.6cc cylinder and block along with the 25cc crankshaft.
