Bigger is better. As for the differance in 6 and 4 channel. It is IMHO easier with a 6 channel than a Fixed pitch. I have flown both and found the 6 Channel easier in the long run.

Hey mate,

What Ron says is correct!
Some of the guys on the [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10052781/mpage_182/key_/tm.htm]HK-450GT CCPM alloy Trex compatible[/link] 450-size thread are just graduating to 500-size (& 550-size birds now - and they report this regularly! Myself I fly a mCPX mostly ATM, (which is of course small) - but it is extremely stable in hover and not buffeted by the wind quite as much as I was expecting either.....!

thanks peter for the ınsıght. why ı ask thıs questıon ıs cause ı recently went to a rc aır show and there was a huges 500 that flew very very stable ın wınd speeds that ı would not even consıder chargıng my battery let alone flyıng. ı am flyıng a belt cp and ın just the slıghtest of wınd ıts all over the place ıs thıs normal. or ıs ıt due to my cyclıc control. my helı says 450 sıze but measures 650.

Hey again matey,

I don't own a belt cp - but if you send a PM to Joaquin (handle: [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=10538427]Tinkman[/link]) and tell him Peter sent you - I know he will reply to your enquiry as he regularly flies a belt cp (very well I might add). We "met" over in the Esky Honeybee FPv2 thread days (over a year ago now) - so I know he has one of those stuck in a cupboard somewhere.....[sm=49_49.gif] [sm=50_50.gif]It doesn't sound right to me - I have a very stable HK450GT which I called Incognito Mosquito - so it night be just your bird - sorry! Joaquin will be able to help I'm sure. It is prolly just a set-up issue and then it will be running sweet again.......

I also fly a Belt CP and I have found that hovering in windy conditions dose require some practice but the Belt is heavy enough to fly well in windy conditions. Here is a link to a couple of videos of me hovering my Belt CP. Took about 3 months for me to get to that point.

Mine has evolved ove teh past year, it now has a CF Frame, and CNCtail and head. However I have not been able to fly for the past 14 months due to the loos of a close by flying.
It is like riding a bike I will be able to pick it up but I will be glad to have all teh spare parts that I do.
