Esmart flies fantastic with 6s lipo, I've seen it in action. It just needs more popularity and more vendors for it. This 500 looks like it will be a simpler, smarter, and easier design of the lepton.

hate the 6S lipos, i won't ever buy a heli that requires a 6s, 4s is as high as i'm willing to go. hope the esky e550 is designed for using 2 x 3s lipos like the hurricane.

Esky states in they're data requirement that you will only need 4s 2400mah 20c lipo's for this heli which is a fantastic battery price wise. I can find them for around $45.00 and shipping.

I've got 2 4S batteries already for my hdx 450se v3, which i'm flying with a medusa motor and cc45 esc. it's pretty scary how much power that thing has.

I think it will really depend on what type of flying you're going to do. 4S for nice scale flying to 6S for hard 3D flying probably.

For the new esky 900 I'm going to go with and reccomend 4s 3000mah 20c lipo (can't say the brand till know the battery tray dimensions)
or for extreme manuevers and power 5s 2500mah 25c lipo

I had a guy here running his esky e-smart with 5s 4000mah 20c lipo and could fly invert and a little piro, tic tocs needed more power.

Best place I'd get a 6s is Helidirect's Mega power lipo's
or Hobbycity Zippy Korean lipo's

Being that E-sky is based overseas, do you suppose that they will take one of my kidneys in trade???

April huh, just in time for my birthday. I suppose a person should order a HDX 500 in the meantime just to have something on hand to compare it to.

Keep your eye on the classifieds flyingsolo11; I'm going to be thinning the herd pretty soon. Also I'm working on a project with an Esky 6 channel radio in it that will be a better alternative than the HBK2 for just a few more dollars than a belt CP.

flyinsolo should offer cactus like $400 and then he and cactus should split the $420 rain pays.
