Default NEW HELI PILOT HELP ADVISE REQUESTED

I just purchased a Honey Bee CP2 and a Walkera 5#5 helicopter from an Ebay Seller, scheduled to arrive to me soon, am a BEGINNER RC Heli Pilot (NOT a beginner to RC Fixed Wing Aircraft), and would like any helpful advice from experienced Heli Pilots, as to starting out with the mentioned helis, ie: setup advice, prefilght checks, etc... to help me start out right!!! I've LOVED helis all my life, and have just NOW been able to take that step into helis, now that I can sort of afford to do so!!! I also bought one of the XELLTRONICS Jet Ranger Bodies for the CP2 for when the time comes I can fly it at a higher proficiency level, and would like any and all input as to HOW this body and the heli mechanics MOUNT together as ONE UNIT??? The body came with NO INSTRUCTIONS as to HOW the copter mechanics are mounted TO and IN the body once the body is put together, OR if the mechanics go into the body AS the body is put together??? The seller did send me links to sites where it shows how to put the bodies together in a very general sense, BUT NOT how and WHEN the mechanics are to be mounted inside!!! I emailed the seller about these specifics and have yet to hear back from him!!! NOT GOOD!!! I am looking forward to your replies!!!

i think what your asking is how to put on a new fuslage onto your honeybee??? here is a link that will show you how to do it to a honeybeeking.. should be about the same way.. not quite sure but i think.. someone else chime in if i am wrong..

[link=http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=59&products_id=2925]http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=59&products_id=2925[/link]

as far as you 5#5.. that is pretty much rtf... just make sure you have a big room to fly it in until you get good at it.. the tail boom is made out of plastic and breaks pretty easy.. i have broke 3 already but now i am getting better and havent broke one in a while.. they only cost like4 each so at least that aint too bad.. i have a honeybee king 2 so not sure about any info on your hb cp2.. might be the same bird ,,i dont know .. i am still kindof new..

here is a link to a guy that sells the 5#5 parts..this guy is a super good guy and will ship out the same day.. he is also on this site a lot and will aways help you out ,,customer or not..

[link=http://www.ushobbysupply.com/index.php?cPath=31_26&osCsid=5e13470405d93915deec4605aa43fde5]http://www.ushobbysupply.com/index.php?cPath=31_26&osCsid=5e13470405d93915deec4605aa43fde5[/link]

you might want to concider getting a set of training gear for your hb.. this willsave you from the hard/crash landings and avoid tip overs when taking off.. willsave you a lot of money... this guy is also very very good when it comes to shipping and has excellent customer service.

then visit radds school of flight.. it is a great course to get you started on your hb.. if you follow this guys instructions this will teach you to fly much quicker and save you a ton of money..dont cheat.. it is kind of boring because he makes you go through 10 batteries before he lets you take off.. i know you just want to fly,,, go ahead if you want.. but you will see these things are tuff to fly

Get a cheap simulator, it'll help. Lots of new terminology to learn. Real easy to get things you don't need or more often, the wrong item. I'm still in a training mode myself. After three months of screwing around, I'm finally on the right track here.

Its like being in a blender here. I've been flying rc planes 10 years, this rc heli stuff is nuts. You really need the patience to deal with it all. With planes, I could dial it in right the first time, trim a bit and thats it for a very long time. With these things, your constantly messing with it. it's just the way it is.

Whirlbird9 if you are getting the HBcp2 it is avery unstable bird unless you are building it your self and even then it has a mind of its own, and the frame work is not that durable it is the same bird as the walkera 04 except for the 04 is fixed pitch on the main blades.
You could take alook at the HBK2 it is belt drive and more stable if you do look for the 2008 model cause it has the outrunner motor when your ready to move up. Or even the e-sky belt cp pro nice bird.
I do agree with cyclic get a simulator even a chep one is about 40.00 with shipping it will help alot and the walkera 5 is good to lern on, also good luck and fly safe have fun.

Always keep your eye on the birdy I am also on the belt cp thread and the HBK2

i,d park the cp2 for a few months if your green at helis. and when i did fire it up i,d have spuerskids installed no matter what.

the 5#5 will get you started with getting used to the controls and it will be fun for a while but youll need a sim to step up to a cp heli well atleast to save money on repairs
