Default Honeybee FP Receiver/4-in-1/3-in-1 Compatibility

Hi all

I was wondering about the 4-in-1 that comes with the honeybee fp. does it come with the 4-in-1 or the 3-in-1 plus receiver? Also are the 4-in-1 or 3-in-1 tail motor plugs able to plug into a servo? (i.e. so I can use all the original hbfp electronics with a belt tail upgrade by just swapping out the tail motor for a servo)

Hoping to do it this way and slowly upgrade part by part because I will never be able to afford everything upgraded in one load. Hoping to buy the hbfp, put it in a guru-z 300 class conversion kit or buy a compy 300 fp bd kit and slwoly get brushless motor, digital servo's, futaba receiver and gyro...

Thanks

You can not plug a servo into the motor leads on the 4 in 1 but, you can solder a female servo plug onto the tail rotor channel of the reciever and then plug a servo into it and use it that way. The tail rotor channel goes into a brushed speed control built onto the board of the 4 in 1 therfore giving you variable dc current coming out of the the 2 leads that go to the tail motor. It will burn up a servo motor. Also there is no pulse channel there for servo control. Search for 4 in 1 brushless mods here on the forums and it shows you how to mod the throttle channel for a brushless speed control. You can also do the tail rotor the same way. Esky cuts the pins off of the the throttle and tail rotor channels for some reason so you have to solder to the pins to make it work. It will work because I have done both mods with great sucess. You need a good soldering iron and a steady hand and you can do it. I have also bought the guru-z side frames for the HBKII and they are great little side frames for the money. You get everthing you need for the upgrades. I am impressed with the guru-z stuff for the price. Good Luck.

Cheers, Will probably just wait to save up enough cash for the total upgrade set (brushless, digital, avcs gyro etc etc etc)...
Just a little impatient I guess :P
