scared myself to death

Man has it been a while since i got to fly my king, and having just gotten a 20C battery i had no idea how much more power it gives to the motor. This thing was on steroids and its a good thing i set all my controls with expo cause with the increased servo throw and monster head speed, i surely would have lost control. I flew a few circuits and it came really close to me a couple times. I just could not believe how fast this thing was freaking going. I hadn't gotten to fly cause i had a vibe that i had to straighten out and wood blades just do not track, got as best as i could. Anyways with a cnc swash and washout, increased servo throw, and 20c battery this thing has an incredible amount of power, scared the crap out of me to fly it lol. On the flip side, the dx6i was the best upgrade i ever did, no more glitches, and when i hover, its rock solid.

RE: scared myself to death

Great news.

I traded a customer for an HBK2 a while back, just got around to fixing it up and flying it. It glitched sooooooo bad it almost killed me twice! I would set it on the floor and after I got about 3 feet from it, it would spin up to full power and take off ! Ruined a brand new feathering shaft, TWICE!

Switched over the rx to a spectrum, and glitching gone! I have not had a chance to diagnose the radio issues yet, but will when I return home this weekend.

HAHA had a similar event when I switched my firebird commander over to LiPo power and a super powerful motor, in excess of 500. not only did i manage to scare the **** outta myself, I also managed to make the airplane desintegrate upon landing.

Good times:)
