MAAM WW II SHOW in Reading PA June 7th thru 9th
**World War II weekend at MAAM in Reading PA First full weekend in June** June 7th, 8th & 9th 2013
From Bob... the NEAD RC Tank Club CO .....From the RC tank forum guys to the RC Plane guys.
I foolishly put off going to this event for several years. Mainly because I had no idea what I was missing...in a word..."Dumb-ass".
It is a HUGE show that goes on for three days and two nights. It takes over the City of Reading PA (just northwest of Philly). The Mid Atlantic Air Museum will be loaded with too many fabulous War Veterans, planes, trucks, jeeps, tanks, displays, hundreds and hundreds of military re-enactors, Army, Airborne, DAK, German and British camps, vendors, food, shows and super people.... to be missed.
I know I preach this all the time here... but get off your butts and get to these events. They are disappearing and you will truly regret not going. Just like some of you poor souls have missed out on the AAF Tank Museum Tank Extravaganza. I'm trying hard to talk them into having another event next year at Danville but it is an uphill battle.
At least come and meet the incredible "Wild Bill" Guarnere from Band of Brothers. That alone it worth the trip. I've met Babe Hefron and Bill there and they are super to visit with.
Here is a great link to the event: http://www.maam.org/maamwwii.html
Lets see if we can get together there for lunch/dinner or something on Saturday or Sunday.
For the RC flyers respond and organize on this tread or here is a link to the other side of the coin on the RC Tank forum: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_11518269/tm.htm

I guess you guys have little interest in 1:1 scale. Just trying to promote some camaraderie amongst my fellow RCU members.

I wouldn't say no interest. I spend the summer cash found at thunder over michigan and as you well know we share some of the same aircraft, tanks, people and fun. Would love to make it down there one of these days. There P-61 Black Widow restoration is high on my list of wants to see. Do you happen to have any current updates on there progress with that aircraft?
