MCRCC Fall Fly In October 18th and 19th "The Big One"
Time for “The Big One”, at MCRCC, on the Gulf Coast in Gulfport, MS
MCRCC will be hosting our 16th annual Fall Fly In on Friday October 18th and Saturday October 19th, 2013. We are the centrally located Gulf Coast Flying Club.
You can travel in on Thursday October 17th, and stay in your RV on site through Sunday October 20th. If you are staying overnight, at our site, you will need to be a self contained unit.
We will have some of our club members staying overnight. And the access road, to the field, has a gate that will be locked at night.
There is also PLENTY of RV parking less than 1/8th of mile from our field. It is located at the Harrison County Fairgrounds. They have power and water hook ups, and the cost is $20.00 per night.
We have a 200' x 400' grass runway, 18 pit stalls with power at each one (and they are big enough for more than one person each), 04 starting stations, and 05 pilot stands.
We even have a private, air conditioned and heated bathroom, for the ladies.
You must hold an AMA membership to fly.
We welcome every kind of aircraft: Big Birds, Warbirds, Civilian, Aerobatic, 3-D, Electric, Gas, Glow, Helis', Foamy, Quad...whatever you have...come show it and let's see it fly! We have seen planes as big as 42%.
AND, YES we allow Gas Turbines. So bring your jets, you will need to provide your own fire extinguisher for gas turbines.
Night flying through Saturday night is perfectly ok…some of our own members will do some night flying Friday night.
Gates open at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday
There will be a onetime landing fee of $10, good for both days.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., both days.
Registered pilots will receive give aways.
There will be a 50/50 raffle
There will be a raffle for a Seagull Edge 540, 1.20 size.
There will be food available, on site, more about that a little later.
Several sponsors have signed on. For updated sponsor info, pleas see post #6. I will update, the list, as they jump in with us.

The guys at our club are really getting amped up about the Fly In. One of them sent me a collage he wanted me to share with you. Unfortunately the photo is too big for RC Universe. So, here is the link to it on Flying Giants, it's post #21:

We had our club meeting, this past Sunday. The members are excited, and the final plans are coming together. If you want some good hospitality, and some good flying (whether your flying, or watching), you don't want to miss this one!

Two weeks away!
Most of the sponsor donations have arrived. As soon as it is all here, I'll let you know how many pilots will receive prizes as they register.

Well, this one is in the bag. we hope to see all of you at our Spring Fly In (should be around the first weekend in June, but I'll keep you posted when we get closer).
I want to thank everybody who braved the rain with us. Thank you for your traveling to our Fall Fly In. Thank you for the show! I want to thank our sponsors, it really helps...so, thank you! And to our club members, thank you for your tireless efforts to make what would normally be a dismal failure...a complete success! I think most clubs would have cancelled with the bad weather we had. And, thank you to those of you who kept my Fly In ADHD calm (especially as it dealt with the crappy weather). Even with 5 hours of rain on the last day, we had 39 pilots...in the rain...what? I have been told by multiple people that we would have seen 70+, had it not been for the rain. Thank you to those who committed to it, and stuck it out!
Here's a YouTube link to an awesome flight.

And, here's a link to Fly In Photo's, look at post 67 - 78.
