RE: I will be there with a great flying Balsa USA Stearman, DLE111. I don't have a table....but will have in my trailer if anyone is interested shot me a pm

I have over $4500 in it....I would take $2,600 with no receivers (it has 2 JR's)...or $2800 with receivers...just bind and fly. The cowling needs painting. I have been fixing a couple of fiberglass issues on the cowl ....got it to the primer stage ready for paint.
Anyone out there like to paint cowls??? If I don't sell this weekend, I would love to hire someone to do the painting for me.

I am almost home now.(15 hr drive) Got a bunch of stuff. Lots of .049 and .06 Norvels and an AP. and an OPS hydro boat. Couldn't fit any planes in the car. Had to let go a pylon plane for $20, wanted to cry.

Where's the $20 pylon plane. I'm still here, bought a quarter scale cub, a 30cc Sbach and a UMX Yak 54.

I think it was in the middle building around the centre, but I didn't read this in time, sorry. There was also a guy with an unbuilt one for $70. Hopefully I will find one in Toledo and have more room in the car. Not likely to be $20 though. I guess I could make one the hard way?

I was dissapointed. I have been going for many years and this was one of the worst turnouts, or offerings, I can remember. I guess the loss of some of the "new" vendors, and tables of what basically could be called "firewood" contributed to my impression. I did enjoy seeing some old friends and having some good food, so all was not lost.

I thought it was just me that was underwhelmed with Perry this year. I agree with Doc Yeats that the pickings were a little slim this time. I was there by a little after noon on opening day (Fri) with $500 dollars burning a hole in my pocket looking for a good deal on a nice scale or sport plane. Couldn't find anything that I wanted after covering all the buildings twice. I did buy $10 worth of nuts and screws and my wife bought $14 worth of Girl Scout cookies that one vendor was selling for his grandaughter. So with the $20 admission for my wife and I, plus $10 worth or screws and $14 worth of Girl Scout cookies, I spent $44 at the show. We were on the road headed home by 3;00 PM with my remaining $456 still in pocket! I bought my wife a nice dinner on our way back. So yea, not a total loss. I had some of the G.S. cookies with coffee after dinner tonight. Good cookies!!!

They should really let the ladies in for free. I went through $150 in a couple of hours, and didn't have enough left for the Rossi .40 for $75. Spent all my money on gas to get there :-) About 6 tanks. At least the US gas is only $35 to fill, not $55 like at home. Like all swap meets, everyone is getting rid of the old crap and asking too much, and some people think it is antique or collectable. I can't say I am any different. Still worthwhile IMHO. Still got to talk to some interesting people, a little hard to understand with the southern accent, I'll try to make it an annual thing, and bring $500.

I thought there was less stuff than usual

there were some deals there though. I missed a yellow p38 for a good price. Hated that as I was helping a friend with his and one engine died and we lost his. It spun in. Would like to find another one.

These are the ones I should have got..
There was a yellow p40 asking price of $1500. Very nice looking plane.
A top flite 1/5 p51 with robart mains and quadra 75 for $500.
Sailplane with kolibri? turbine asking $1500
Jet central super eagle for $1400.
Trex 700 flybarless nitro rtf for $480.

A lot of good deals walked out early and quick...

I thought the same thing about this year as well. There were way less people selling and buying from previous years. Lots of junk. More than usual. We are usually sold out Friday afternoon and it took until Saturday to sell out. Nothing much to look at as far as quality planes. As Doc said we got to see some old friends and get caught up.

I was there didn't buy much though. I guess it is just a sign of the economic times, with no job it was hard to spend to much money.

Well I agree on the point that certain hobby dealers were absent, like Radical RC, The other nuts & bolts guy, Batteries America... BUT, I picked up what was sold to me as a Yellow Aircraft P-47 Razorback that is actually a CARF Thunderbolt! (Already Painted) Paid $425! Now I have to order all the bits and pieces that go on it (Mo Money 2B Spent). I also picked up some tools, a trainer/radio for my grandson, a Great Planes Electrostik, CA. All in all a good show, and we sold all the major stuff we brought. May have been a quieter show than in the past but still very good! Will do it again next year!

I usually come both days, but could only make it Saturday.got to the gates right at 8 am and there was not a line to get in as a seller or
buyer.Thought to myself this is not good.I forgot to reserve my tables and still got tables in the McGill building.
I bought a Blade 500 3D and a Trex 450 from a guy that I contacted through craigslist a week before the show.He lives near Perry and
I am glad I made the deal before Perry.I was going to look for a Blade 500 3D at Perry but never saw any there.
I had a Wild Hare Edge 540 V1 50cc with a DL50,Hitec 5645 servos and Hanger 9 HD switches.add reciver and fly for $425.00
no takers. Plane covering was showing some age but is still a great flyer. sold a few small things. Perry sellers and buyers were definetly down this year.
