This may be my last year flying at Lakeland because of the pavement, Frank had a beautiful grass strip and now has ruined it with blacktop. For the past several years since the site has moved from the taxie way it has been an beautiful place to fly, oh well
I understand that he is putting a grass strip along the far edge of the pavement but I don't like having to depend on my depth perception to hit the runway spot-on. And I am not a big fan of walking across the active runway to the edge of the grass for take-off's and landing's, if that is even an option at Top Gun.

Yea its hard to please everyone for sure. But the pavement will save me 3 months of work every year now. For the first time after Florida jets all I did was put my plane away when I got home.

The grass on the outside of the runway was not very smooth yet. But it was just laid before the event. So I hope before TG it will smooth out some for people needing it.

    Looking forward to it.

Kris, I'll get in touch on Facebook but I want to do a feature on your plane.
