Thanks bdavison:
I hope to post vids and pics.
Have also discussed trying to do HELI pylon racing too.
This all depends on crowd/participants etc....
Those competing will be drawn out of a hat and competitor A goes against B for five laps, etc..... winner moves onto next round till we have a winner[8D]
Have the plastic bowling pins, will do some experimenting tonight with adding as little weight (bb's) as possible to hover the helis over them without propwash knocking them down, must be nudged over with skids
You need yo come up for it,
PS:
thanks for you thread(s) on the CP.[8D]

RE: INDOOR ELECTRIC PLANES and HELIS at Jacksonville, IL
Any idea of how many pilots will be there? How about vendors? Pit tables? I am planning on coming with a bunch of planes so I want to be prepared!

RE: INDOOR ELECTRIC PLANES and HELIS at Jacksonville, IL
Not sure how many pilots, last year we had about 30 in a 4 hour period.
This is 8 hours with some demos???? and games, I would say 40 to 50, but only guessing????
No VENDORS, but have LHS with 3-5 blocks.
Pit area will be floor, limited outlets, etc...if have 12 volt battery charging would recommend to bring.
We should have plenty of room to fly, went to EFEST and there was 200 pilots, 20-25 planes in air all the time, I know this venue is not as big, but we should have fun anyway.
Thanks
Roger

Also this reminder
There are limited outlets, depending on what time, # of participants, availibility, on how many outlets will be needed.
battery backup charging would be a good idea to bring.
Have all batteries pre charged and ready to go, etc.....
