These are the same maneuvers we all usually fly when we are burning holes in the sky. So bring your bird out and Join us for some good ole Texas Hospitality!

Here are a couple of links to video of the Basic Routine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quRhGEeFdPs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmXql4WEO2c

It is that simple

In addition we'll have some of the top pilots in the world at the event so you'll get to meet them and learn from them.

Brett Wickizer Wold FAI Team Member, XFC Competitor Rick Byrd (I'll update more as I get confirmation)

The format we are going to follow is Saturday Start the IMAC contest at 8am with the 1st plane in the air at 8:30am. We’ll fly all day getting 2-4 full rounds of flying in (depending on the number of attendees).

Event is limited to 60 Registered Pilots

Classes:
• Basic (introductory class fly any aircraft you want)
• Sportsman
• Intermediate
• Advanced
• Unlimited
• Freestyle (This is a combo of 3D and precision flying. Usually
done to music) Know to Spectators as "The AirShow"

We will then have the 1st round of the Freestyle Contest after the IMAC rounds are completed.

If your not familiar with the TAG Program (Take off and Grow) it was developed by the AMA to generate interest in our hobby. Spectators will have the opportunity to get to fly RC models.

Sunday we’ll start at the same time and fly 1-2 rounds of IMAC then have the final round of freestyle and then have the TAG program the rest of the day while we do the prizes and awards. We are also going to provide a certificate of completion for each and every TAG participant we have.

The event is really geared to getting new people to try out precision aerobatic flying. We will have extra incentives for 1st time competitors and bigger larger trophies and more awards for the entry level class. BASIC is the Introductory level class and you can fly any airplane you want. We’ll have people at the event to help educate new comers so they can have a great time and do well.

We will be advertising at the local schools and churches as well as the local full scale airfields for a “Remote Control Airshow “ This will hopefully help attract a large spectator following. We are expecting over 500 spectators for the Freestyle portion ie RC AIRSHOW

In addition we are expecting Radio and TV Coverage as well as the local newspaper.

We have also gotten some verbal commitments to help support and promote us from the following:

• Great Day Houston TV Show
• HEB Grocery Stores
• Desert Aircraft
• 42% Products
• Higher Plane Productions
• Micro Fasteners
• Riches Brew
• RC Hobby Shop Sugarland
• Cermark
• Hobby Lobby
• Flying Giants
• RC Universe
• Smart Fly
• Blazing Wings
• Tru-Turn Spinners
• Carden Aircraft

Several more are on the way. Check the Website for Updates and more information http://www.jetero.com/imac.htm

We look forward to having you fly with us and if you have any questions please let us know.

You can bet on that. Check www.jetero.com to see that Jetero is really recovering from the total destruction of the shelter area by Hurricane "IKE" last year. Come and see!

Hossfly, I believe it is unlawfull to sell Raffle tickets on the internet. I'm not trying to throw rocks, just alert you to a possible problem.
Best wishes for your Shootout.

LFS2298,

You are right the Raffle rules are very strict. We are a Non-Profit organization and we are allowed to do only 2 Raffles a year this makes our 2nd and by far our Biggest! We checked into it extensively and we're ok. Thanks for the heads up and concern. Hope you can make it out to the event.

If you can't make it to the event could you at least;
* Post the flyers on your club website and in your club newsletter
* Email a copy of the Flyers to you Club Members and RC Buddies
* Post a copy of the flyers at you Flying Club.
* Buy some Raffle tickets. Remember the Prizes are worth $200-$5,000 each and we have 15 that will be given away!

Thanks so much for your support!

Thank you for your concerns. The man behind this venture is a very shrewd and competent business man. He is very knowledgeable of the rules. As a Jetero Club member I am very happy that such an individual is in there promoting such an activity for our club. We, just tonight at the monthly club meeting, went over the plans, program, etc. There are a fair number of name IMACERS lending their efforts into this event.
The Jetero management is putting a lot of work into making this event one that all competitors will leave with a smile on their faces, knowing it was a great event.
BTW the event is no longer restricted to the number of pilots. IMAC does not allow such.

Although I am heavily involved with the Jetero Club as the webmaster, I really considered this event to be above me, having only been in the Hobby for a year (wings awarded last August).

I was recently taken under the wing of one of our instructors, who suggested I try the basic routine. Well, I thought, I don't have the right kind of plane for this stuff, but agreed to give it a shot.

I fired up my trusty 4 Star 60, and was walked through the 10 elements involved for the Basic routine.

I have to tell you, I am no super pilot, and although the elements were far from perfect in my eyes, not to mention what the judges may think, I did complete all the elements successfully.

Add to that the fact that, as a registered Pilot for the event, you are eligible for one of the approx $15,000 in Pilot Raffle Prizes, which is in addition to the main Raffle prizes which anyone can buy tickets for.

We have been working hard to get the field and shelter up to speed for this event, and you can see what we have been through by checking out the picture galleries at [link=http://www.jetero.com]Jetero Website[/link]

The event, if you are close to enough to make it, may be the best $40 you have ever spent, win or lose, and the open raffle has some amazing prizes, and at only $20 for a single ticket, giving you 15 (yes, FIFTEEN) chances to win, hard to resist, and bear in mind, proceeds go to our Club to help with the rebuild costs after Ike ripped through us last year.

Hope to see you there, or at least see your name on some tickets for the BIG RAFFLE

I am off to do some trimming and practice some more

Just want to add a note to invite all interested modelers to come visit our event. Jetero field is just awesome for being user friendly for folks who enjoy our hobby. Our facilities are 100% rebuilt to an even higher standard. We got a great club and its members are typical of all folks involved in our great hobby/sport/whatever.......give us a challenge and and we'll "get er done".

Yes, Mark is a newer entry into our club but he is taking off like gangbusters, both as a pilot and a Club Worker. He is a true asset to Jetero RC Club, Inc.

Just made it to Bomber Field today. WHAT A CROWD? Lots of wonderful flying going on all day. Now that flying style is not what Jetero is promoting, yet it was fantastic today in its style as well as Jetero's style will shine this next weekend via IMAC.

The merchandise offerings are far beyond my imagination in 60 years flying model airplanes of some sort. Don't miss it.
