RE: WARBIRDS OVER OKLAHOMA 2010
Hello,
I spent the weekend of October 10th in Midland Texas at the annual CAF air show. During the show the CAF's TORA TORA TORA show was flown. If you ever have this act come to your town do not miss it. Warbirds and pyro you will not want to miss. I have a few shots below, one with a friend Mike Anderson who flies the Japanese "Kate" Torpedo Bomber (Converted AT-6). This is the plane that was flown in the big screen movies TORA TORA TORA, Midway, and Pearl Harbor. Mike may visit us during WARBIRDS 2010 with his AT-6 from Muskogee, OK.

RE: WARBIRDS OVER OKLAHOMA 2010
Hello WARBIRDRCER,
I will definately attend in 2010 and bring my .60 size JU87 Stuka. I hope to have my F6F Hellcat built by the 2011 event. I have no doubt that this event will be a great success and loads of fun for any warbird enthusiast. Keep up the good work and see you at the field.
Here is a pic of the start of the Z-Hellcat build. 1st step done. Only 998,789 more to go.

cutnmetal,
You missed the turbine run today. I had to make a landing gear mod today to Brent's jet. Not the big L-39 the one on the wing. If the weather allows Brent and I are going to meet up and get it airborn next Saturday. I have to contact Don Perry the test pilot and see if this is going to work for him. It will be flying at WARBIRDS 2010 though.

cutnmetal,
The plane is looking great. Hope to start cutting my parts soon.
I was in Muskogee today with Mike. Here is a shot of his full scale T-6 which may be on static display at Warbirds 2010.
Mike is the guy in the thread who flys the Zero (Kate).

topguncj,
Do you have any pics to update us on your progress. Thanks for your help on the presentation at El Reno. Warbirds 2010 is shaping up to be the best yet thanks to you, Sharon, and Rick's help.
Here is my progress on the AD-5 Skyraider.

RE: WARBIRDS OVER OKLAHOMA 2010
WARBIRDRCER,
Hurry up and get that first one cut. It will be a breeze after that. I am almost stalled out on my build until I can get some of the parts that I need like a tail wheel, servos, landing gear and such. I am afraid to go any further with out these items for fear that something will not fit.[X(]

cutnmetal,
After getting back from helping the kids with the car last night I cut parts until I was out of light ply. Good thing since it was midnight when I ran out.
A 101" Z B-25 builder, MarvinLoomis sent me the cowl ID's from Firewall, center, and FWD. I will check the size of the Evo 26 to see if they will fit in the cowls of the 101 incher. Check out the build thread. save for our next big project.

hellcat56,
There are no 3D demos at this warbird event. The local clubs host events for the 3D fliers, however I do have some great 3D pilots whom fly warbirds during this event. As for helicopters, if they were used in the military service they are welcome. Many pilots from several past battels were happy to see them coming. This being said we only have 2 to 3 scale each year show up and fly.
Jim Ellis shown here won both the Best Heli and Pilots Choice awards.
Hope to see you there!

Started cutting my center section ribs and ran out of lite ply. Hobby shops out of stock so had to order from Lone Star. Having fun. Speaking of having fun, I received the Ziroli 101" B-25 plans today. Ready to start cutting some wood?

I received my Lone Star package Saturday and cut the remainder of the center section ribs this afternoon. Made such a mess my little helper had to vac out the ban saw. I am slowly getting there. Should have it ready for WARBIRDS 2011.
It will look good flying with your F4-U. We can do one of those heritage passes.
