*Rascal 110 Fly-in 2010*
It's that time of the year once again to start looking at the upcoming events. Since Sig has not produced anymore of the Rascal 110's were not sure how many are still out there flying. The first annual Rascal 110 event was targeted at the Rascal 110 but it was also an open fun fly for whatever you had. We were thinking this year we would still target the event at the Rascal 110 but also have it open to all high wing planes 70" and above. We would like some imput on this to see what you think. We are looking at July 17 & 18 for the Second Annual Rascal 110 Fly-in in Evansville In. This will be an AMA santioned event. I will post a flyer for this event in the upcoming weeks.

I think that is a good idea. I also have the AMR 50trainer if I ever get the electronics in it. Is it OK to bring a motorhome and stay overnight at the field?

We are self sufficient. I am putting it on my calender. I have to check with Sig and see if any 110 parts are in. I still need struts, wheel pants, windshield and a cowl.

Time is getting close so get this one on your calendar. Get those Rascal 110's and high wing planes ready for this great event. If you don't have a Rascal 110, any high wing plane over 70" will be welcome. We want to have a fun day with a lot of high wing planes in the air. Come and join in on all the fun.

Dang! I'm picking up a Rascal 110 on Wednesday and would love to come to this, but I've gotta work!
Hopefully it will be on a different date next year!

Got it yesterday. Saito 150, soon to be replaced by a gas engine. Wish I could make it, but I've got obligations. Don't think I can get out of it.

This event is only two weeks away and we have some of our local Boy Scouts that will be serving up the burgers & dogs. Get that Rascal 110 out or any high wing plane over 70" and come on over on July 17 & 18. Hope to see you there for a fun filled weekend of flying.

Dave and Zippi
our Rascals should be ready to head your way in a few weeks.......hopefully 5-8 will be in our group. i still dont have the DEMON RASCAL ready yet.
King, i will check and see if i have any cowlings stuck back in my spare parts.........what i have will have been cut for some engine configuration, but i will bring something with me and you can decide if it is usable.
Vax , Evansville would be a great place to see some Rascals in action, it is a 2 day event?????? maybe you could sneak away for a little Rascal time.
see you all in a few weeks
Eric
heres a few Rascal shots to get you all ready

I'd still love to come and fly my Rascal. This thing is a blast. I have to work both Saturday and Sunday unfortunately. Although, I may end up being sick one of those days, and have to call in (cough, cough).
Here's some pics of mine from flying last week.

Eric,
It's always nice to see you boys from Bowlingreen headed this way. This could be the last Rascal 110 Fly-In due to Sig not getting off their but and producing any more Rascal 110's so we want to make this a good event.
vax6335,
Hope to see you at this event.

Good luck with your Rascal 110 event. I really hope this isn't your guys last year and I hope Sig eventually gets straightened around and gets back to stocking some great kits and ARFs like the Rascal 110. It seems I or actually my wife has had me obligated to do other things the last couple years when your event is scheduled, but I always thought I might like to try to make it down there one of these years when she don't have other plans for me (Garage Sale this year) Blah!. So I really hope this isn't your last Rascal 110 event and I hope you guys get some good flying weather and good attendance.
Here is a photo of my Rascal 110 with a Ryobi 31cc in the nose. I have a parachute release mounted on the bottom of the plane in which I like to drop Buzz Lightyear tied to a parachute. Lots of fun unless of course you have to walk a 1/2 mile to retrieve the parachute.

ckangaroo70,
I'd say if your wanting to attend a Rascal 110 fly-in with your plane this should be the one. If Sig doesn't come out with more of the Rascal 110's this year then this will probably be our last Rascal 110 fly-in. I was kinda hoping that Hangar 9 would come out with a giant scale version of the Toledo Special to take the place of the Rascal 110.

This event is only one week away. We have the Hangar 9 Toledo Special for our raffle plus two $25.00 gift certificates from Sig, items from Great Planes, Micro fasteners, Tru Turn, and more. Bring your planes and lets have a fun two days of flying.

What's the turnout looking like for both days? Looks like I'll only be able to make it Sunday. But still it's going to be neat flying with other Rascals. I'll bring my nice camera, I hope other people do also.
Will there be a group fly-by? See how many Rascals we can get in the air at the same time? That would be a large formation!

vax6335,
Both days should be action packed with lots of flying. The "group fly-by " sounds kinda cool. All we have to do is tell everyone with a Rascal 110 to get them in the air. Unfortunately I no longer have my Rascal 110 but I will be flying my new Aeroworks 50cc S2 Sport Cub with a DLE 55 and my H9 Taylorcraft with a DLE 30. See you this weekend dude.

Guys I am selling all my stuff. Rascal 110 with Zenoah 26, fowler flaps added, dual A123 receiver batteries, Formaco Wolverine switch to control usage of the dual receiver batteries and an aftermarket ignition module on the Zenoah to reduce current draw. JR Spektrum transmitter with JR receiver and 7 servos installed
AMR trainer 50 95% finished with a RCS 50cc and a 32 ounce tank. No radio.
I am selling everything so I am looking to sell complete packages if possible.
