Ok group looks like I will have to put together my little cub arf VMAR for the OS10LA the tiger 400ARF electric conversion has a TT10 Davis head along with an other tt10Davis head in the VMAR Nouvo 1300 electric conversion, and an other tt10Davis head in a lazybee, these all fly in the parks with the electric guys
and yup they have never seen a diesel and as I said before amazed by how quiet in flight martin
My favorite is gone a mini telemaster with an OSFP10 Davis head my wifes son has it it carried all sorts on mini telemetering stuff for an engineering project in his senior year
at UCF, they won against all the other entries and they where up against some rather exotic electric powered airframes
and yup they have never seen a diesel and as I said before amazed by how quiet in flight martin

Hobbsy, was that you who told me about the diesel conversion on a Fox 74? Did that make the engine quieter? I remember huge torque numbers with a big 12x8 3-blade prop. But I wonder how much quieter it gets?

H, it changes the harsh bark into an authoritative purr with a little Diesel ringing mixed in. I have quite a choice of mufflers for the .74, an MVVS dustbin muffler, Fox Quiet muffler, BISSON Sports muffler and a standard Fox muffler. The dustbin muffler for its simple construction and compact size has a nice sound.
