Novel .074 diesel prop
#3
Walther, I'd go with Hobbsy's suggestion. The NV guy may have had in mind that the engines are designed for more RPM than most others. That suggests a smaller prop than you'd think - to let it rev.
I've converted a few aluminum fin NorVel .8cc and 1.0cc engines on the bench; MECOA diesel heads. Ran fine! Spun up pretty high RPM, almost up to the glow versions. Didn't push for absolute max RPM, just checking that the combo worked, and was reasonable to start, set and adjust. APC props, homebrew 33%E, 23-25% O, rest #2 auto diesel, +1.5% AMSOIL cetane booster.
