The SV - Sosnovsky 2.5cc F2C diesel engine
Has anyone acquired this engine and used it any? I was curious about and how it ran and performed.

Sosnovsky is the one who makes the Parra engines too.
150 grams weight, AAC cylinder piston, it uses a 6.5x6.5 prop, so I assume this engine ran really turn some RPMs.
The phenolic rear backplate is to help insulate the intake from the engine heat.

RE: The SV - Sosnovsky 2.5cc F2C diesel engine
Thanks.
Someone stated that it "does respectable times" was about it for any performance results.
It is a bit too long for the existing F2C planes the guys happen to be using, but for F2F it is OK.
I would have thought people would have something to say about it being faster or slower than other engines, but there seems to be a vacuum of information about it.
So it is likely a good engine for learning and getting competitive with F2F and maybe later with F2C if you have a plane built with a little more room for it.
