0.19 in a .15 plan
Hey guys!!
Ihave a .19 diesel engine, and spad plans for .15 diesel . both engines weigh approx 195 grams( i compared my .19 with a friend's .15)
Will a .19 adversely affect a .15 plane (c.o.g, fuel intake etc) ?
-cosmo
P.S: Iam a newbie, so please bear with me. =)

if they weigh the same then it wont affect CG unless you run a larger tank but i think you should use the same tank you would with a .15 and maybe run a larger prop than you would in a larger plane and it should run for the same amount of time. [that is if the plane could handle a larger prop]

I am assuming here that you referring to the PAW 15 TBR-R/C and 19 TBR-R/C?
Both engines in RC form are quoted as weighing in at 185 grams and the 19 has always had the better power to weight ratio.
As far as fuel goes, if the same amount of 'work' is done by both engines then I think that any difference in consumption would be minuscule.
And the extra power from the 19, well that's what throttles are for.
I would choose the 19 over the 15 any day of the week (if indeed its a PAW in question here) and yes, it is very slightly larger in dimensions but you will need a good eye to detect it!
Cheers.
