Australian Taipan and N.Z. Katipo .09 diesels
Here are three Taipan .09 diesels from 1960, 1958 and 1966, plus a New Zealand "Katipo" Mk-1 from 1971. Sorry, the '60 Taipan is a bit worn.
Taipan made several .09 diesels.

Did you note how we machined the exhaust ports on the top engine so that the cylinder could be tightened with an AF spanner? Tricky!
Later we made special spanners that would locate within the exhaust ports.
The 1966 engine was produced in larger numbers on the first of our automatic screw machines. Dad "lent" me to a contractor for two weeks and then bought an Index 25 and presented me with the instruction manual. Often the design features of our engines were adapted to suit the more sophisticated machines we acquired.

Peter,
No, I didn't notice...I've been looking for Taipan 1.5cc engines for quite some time and finally picked up four a couple of years ago.
Haven't seen any of the wrenches.
We're on the other side of the world and don't see many early GB or Taipan engines.
I had a gold-head 3.5cc schnerule for a while and loved the look of the case casting.
Did you make the Sesqui in your plant?
