New Diesel, first flip start.
Just wondering how many of you have ever taken a new diesel out of the box, mount it in the stand, fuel up the tank and have it start on the first flip.
I've only had two, a Kingcat 1.5cc and a Supertigre G.33 1.5cc. Others have started on a few flips but these two I remember.
I usually blow air through the spray bar to get an approximate needle valve setting and set the compression lever by feel. Then simply choke a couple of times to get fuel in the line, exhaust prime and then start flipping. Both engines ran the tank out.

RE: New Diesel, first flip start.
I thought I might add something about the Kingcat .09.
The Kingcat "Deluxe" had an exhaust header and spinner nut while the standard had a plain prop nut.
If you have an AM Premier 1.5cc engine the muffler is a perfect fit on the Kingcat.
