Default OS .40 FP Davis conversion?

Hi Diesel lovers:

While at a flea market yesterday, I bought a used O.S. .40 FP that had a Davis head installed.

It looks like the engine had been run but not with the Davis head. The compression is good I think! It had no head gaskets with the so I am awaiting head gaskets via mail. Oh yes, this is a RC model that looks in great shape! I have ordered a CL venturi and NVA to enable me to use it for CL stunt.

Any tips or suggestions as such as how well these engines perform when converted to Diesel?

I converted an O.S. LA .40 to Diesel via a Davis head and it is a great running engine for Control Line stunt! I am hoping that the FP also turns out to be as good!

Stay well,

Franchi

Default RE: OS .40 FP Davis conversion?

The OS 40 FP with a good diesel conversion head is the best diesel OS never made. Be aware some users of converted FP's have reported broken crankshafts. Do not push compression.
