Dieselitis
I caught a case of Dieselitis today and ran my old Eagle III conversion, it has anew piston, ring and sleeve in it with about one hour run time on glow.
Fox Eagle III .60
Fuel==Davis Plane Fuel, just because that's what was in the tank.
Prop==Graupner 14x7
Muffler MVVS box
Carb==SuperTigre .61 with flat spraybar
RPM===7,350
Picture at full honk, nice smoke, smoke is important.

It was run as a glow before this I assume, and smoke - yes I like to see where I have been in the air as it give s a certain sense of airspace ownership!
Cheers.

RE: Dieselitis
I removed the glow head and button and installed the Diesel head a few minutes before I ran it. It has great compression so I'd say the new sleeve and piston are close to broken in. That head is an older one from Davis that does not have a compression screw lock of any kind however it does not offer to move on its own. The head had several years of use on it when I bought it with a worn out engine. The engines bearings are still the original bearings.
