WOHM ALERT! WOHM ALERT!

1 Attachment(s)
:) Hi Guys - My friend Luitpold emailed me that Herr Wolfgang Hoepfner is offering another of his 3-cylinder 10cc radial diesels on German eBay. This one, "Blue Lagoon" is a whole lot nicer looking than his previous offering, the Purple People-Eater (Actually, "Violetta").

I'm sure that Brooke Shields is proud, if she knows. I will refrain from any crude comment about jugs...

Go to http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Now, who is going to step up and buy it?

Regards. -Gary

Wow, nice. I have saved that one to think about it. But I suspect it'll go for more than I can go for it.

Earl not really a bad price for the work involved how much is a saito 120 radial ? its $799 however more than I can afford to spend have so many engines now
that are on the shelf and 15 or so in planes martin

RE: WOHM ALERT! WOHM ALERT!

My problem with the radial engines, is if it is worth it to run the engine and use it in a model airplane. Granted they would sound great, look great and make for a more scale airplane experience. But then that nasty crash that could happen is a deterent. But a single cylinder engine doesn't detract from the experience all that much, and you don't have that horrid sinking feeling as much with it in a crash either. So it winds up being a tough call for sure.

yeah I saw that saito 1.20 radial. I have been coveting the Saito 200 radial for my Gee Bee plane I would love to put it in too.

I have been thinking about what I would mount that WOHM engine on to run it and fly it.
:D

I wonder if they made mufflers for it.

I hope someone who posts here won it. Would love to see a full review.

Unfortunately, more than likely, a collector got it. So we'll have to wait for them to pass away to give us another chance at it.
I have a .50 size Corsair that might have been just right to run the engine on.
But then, maybe that Saito .90 radial might be a better engine to use.
