Default TX AND UPGRADED RECEIVER

I've upgraded my Raptor G2 with a brushless motor and esc. plus a new receiver. However, when I hook the battery up and try to program the esc, the helo does not do a thing. Even the gyro does not come on. The receiver is FM along with the original tx that came with the Raptor. The crystals are new, so I don't know what's wrong. Any advice??? Could the new receiver be bad?

if you have the new Receiver it should say 701 but you also need the new transmitter as well. The new TX says WK701

Thanks for the reply, Andy! I have the Raiden R-6P 6-channel FM receiver that I ordered from Helix.com and the original tx that came with the helo. I guess you have to match the receiver with the tx???

Man- I don't feel like paying $55.00 for a receiver, but it looks like I may have to. I hate you can't just buy an upgraded receiver and still use the stock xmitter. I also thought that the crystals are the "link" between the receiver and the xmitter.
