New heli flyer needs advice
Hi folks, I'm new here and just received my handy dandy brand new Falcon 50 from Nitro Planes.I've never flown helis but have 20yrs experience on fixed wings so thought I'd give helis a try.I've been reading lots of blogs, forums etc. etc., about burnt motors, "must have upgrades" etc. Before I even take this bird out of the box, I'd like to know if I "need" these upgrades. Also, I ordered the ESky simulator but it just won't operate correctly. Afer trying everything Icould think of, it just will not control the rudder, and I can't get the throttle to reverse to operate correctly. Thanks in advance for any and all helpGreat forum and info you have here, will visit often

to get the simulator to work please see here: http://www.rcdiscuss.com/index.php/topic,3205.0.html and follow the instructions closely.
Make sure you attach a training kit onto the heli because this will help you a lot. You should not try to take the heli airborne the first time because you won't be fast enough to keep with the heli. Instead throttle up so that the heli is light on the floor and sweeping the ground. Practice until you can maintain control and slowly increase the throttle until you are in control. Take small steps.
