This might be more appropriate in Unusual R/C or RC Robotics and Autonomous Robots.

Are you talking about the plastic one that Walmart sells? Can it be done? Probably? Is it worth it? Probably not. There isn't enough room in the ducted fans for a real motor and blades, there isn't a lot of room in the fuselage for rest of the required electronics...

If someone wants to do it, the best way would be to design the ducted fans, and then build the body around it.

THANKS DAVE, FOR YOUR ANSWER, IT IS A VERY PROFFESIONAL ANSWER IN EVERY WAY, YOU GUYS ARE THE PROFFESIONALS AND EXPERTS, AND I'M THE STUDENT, BUT I'M NOT  STUPED, I THINK IT  IS BETTER TO ENCOUNTER CHALLENGES  AND DREAMS
THAN STAYNG THERE JUST CROSSING YOUR HAND AND DOING NOTHING.
I HAVE NOT SEEN THE MODEL INSIDE, BUT I SUPOSE IT WAS HOLLOW OR MAY NOT HAVE ENOUGH ROOM INSIDE FOR THE PIECES,BUT IT IS ALSO A WAY OF SHARING MY DREAMS WITH OTHERS.
I KNOW THE REAL R/C ELECTRIC ONE IS COMING, AND I WILL LET YOU KNOW  WHEN I GET IT GOD WILLING.
THANKS REALY, ONCE AGAIN THANKS VERY MUCH,, I WILL TALK TO YOU SOON.

HELLO DAVE THIS TIME, I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE AVATAR GUNSHIP, I WANT TO ASK YOU ABOUT MY * 4CH LAMA V3 2.4GHZ.*
IT IS BRAND NEW, I WAS FLYING IT INDOOR AT HOME AND BY ACCIDENT I HIT DOWN THE THROTTLE JOY STICK WITH THE BACK OF MY LEFT HAND, AND THE HELI,  CAME DOWN REALY FAST AND HIT THE WALL, AND NOW IT IS SPINING CLOCK WISE AND THE TRIMER SEAMS NOT TO BE RESPONDING. I SEE SCRACHES AROUND THE BLADES ALL OF THEM WHAT COULD BE HAPPENING;THOUGH  I DO NOT SEE  NO DAMAGES INSIDE OR BROKEN PARTS. I'M GOING TO BUY NEW BLADES THAT I NOW, BUT I NEED YOUR HELLP FIRST.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
CLM.</p>

This isn't exactly what you wanted, but I've been scratch building my own gunship.  Bigger than what you're talking about.  On Facebook, search for David Dewey-Wright (hyphenated last name).  Under my videos, you'll see what I'm working on.
