1 SPEED TRANNY?
I HAVE AN EXCEED RC 1/10 NITRO BUGGY AND I HAVE HEARD OF A 1 SPEED TRANSMISSION FOR IT. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A 1 SPEED AND DOES IT HAVE THE SAME TOP END?. ALSO, WHERE WOULD I BUY IT?

the 2nd gear would be good for smooth surfaces where you can reach higher speeds. off road applications i would think the single gearing would be better because it keeps the torque to the ground. it all depends on what you use the car for.

You can get a single gear set up here:

since your talking about the buggy and not the truck you would want this trans, its single speed too just different clutch bell: http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/s...ear-set/Detail
and this clutch bell: http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/s...-clutch/Detail or the hpi one: http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/s...-vented/Detail
the single speed upgrade system comes with too small of a clutch bell, a 13 or 12 tooth and you wont get enough top end to be happy, anywhere from a 15-17 clutch bell is good, the first one for $5.99 is a 16 tooth and its steel, the second it 17 tooth.
the buggy has smaller tires than the truck so you dont need the smaller clutch bell like the trucks do, the less teeth the more low end power but less top end, the more teeth you have the more top end but less acceleration power, i have found that 15-17 tooth is the best for the buggys with a single speed, i have 4 of the buggys and 2 have the single speed setup. its much better for offroading.

Get the single speed its awsome!! I switched my exceed buggy and redcat tsunami into single speeds and its much nicer, and easier! Cars run better, motors run cooler usually cause its less pressure trying to switch gears in like thick grass or something like that. and in my opinion there faster in bottem and top speed offroad. if your worried about it on the pavement, get a road car

Ya he makes a good point, you would want a higher tooth clutch bell like these:
15tooth

or
17 tooth
