Default My car eats differential gears?

I have ran my buggy through about 1.25 gallons of fuel and it has already destroyed 4 spur gears. I am trying to mesh it as good as I can and the spur gear is parallel to the center gear? What else can I do? I should not have to replace a center gear every 6 tanks.

Just curious as well, is having the gear's teeth overlapping about halfway a good mesh? Seems to roll smoothly when I do that, but maybe it does need to be changed. Any suggestions?

ok this is what i do to mesh. get some paper, just like notebook paper, or printer paper. notebook is thinner and printer is thicker. and cut thin strips the width of the spur gear. get all the screws mostly screwed on the engine. and put the paper between the spur and the cb, push them together, not smash but get them together. while holding tighten a couple screws on the bottom of the chassis. then get the screws snug and pull the paper out. it shouldnt tear, but should be all bent up from the mesh. i can find a pic after work of what it should look like. also get a screwdriver and put it on the spur gear on the left side of the tranny, to hold it in place (when everything is tight) and then move the cb, it should have a SLIGHT gap. very small. then roll your car and it should roll smoothly with no binding. the more you do it the easier it gets. goodluck

Though this is a different RC, the method to mesh gears is exactly the same no matter what teh RC.
