Jr xs3 Radio with RS300 receiver
I have a 1/10th gas buggy which I upgraded the stock AM transmitter and receiver to the jr FM transmitter with the 300 receiver. I originally had a ofna fail safe when I was using the AM transmitter and receiver. I purchased two servos that were compatible with the new FM system.
My question:
1. Is the fail safe that I originally purchased when I was using the AM transmitter and receiver compatible with the FM setup? It appears that the buggy responded better without the fail-safe.
2. Do you feel that the battery in the car could have been low and cause the delay?
As always I would like to thank you in advance.

the failsafe will work fine with the fm unit....the delay may be the rervos's I doubt it though...anyway a good battery charge is always the best

It seems that the batteries were weak. The new FM systems and the fail safe are working great! Thanks

I use a 7.4v 900mah 2S lipo as my receiver battery. Last over an hour and provides beautiful power from start to finnish. Doesn't loose power as you go. What do you guys think will happen if you used a 11.1v lipo as the receiver pack?

I tried to look up some comparisons to the receiver pack you mentioned and found no battery close to that spec. I would incline to think that it may damage the receiver. I do need to invest in a good battery pack.

If your talking about the receiver pack that I mentioned, here is a link to the ones I use. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...Ah_2S1P_15-25C
It's a 800mah 2S 15C Lipo. Fits perfect in my receiver box on my buggy. I'll take some pics tonight.

No go on the 1/8 buggy yet. I had to buy a new windsheild for my car. Set me back a bit. Probably wont get that till mid summer anyway. Going to take care of some side jobs to get the funds. That way I dont have to tap my checks. hahaha That'll make the wife happy. My side money is my play money.

I just broke in my new sh .18 motor. God does that thing have an as$ load of torque. All I have to do now is fine tune her and she's going to rip. I'm so glad I got back into nitro. Having a sh .28 in my 1/8 should be a treat. Can't wait for that now. I'll keep you posted. Thanks guys. Let me know if there is anything else you need help with. Joe
