Make sure your spur gear isnt stripped, if its not that make sure all your drive cups are tight on your tranny.

Yup check the grub screws on the cups. My rear comes loose often and then I get front wheel drive only. Hahaha Sounds like you have a loose screw some where. What RC do you have the engine in?
