Default ultra rc for drifting

Hey Whattup all, I'm interested in getting a drift car and from what I've learned so far electric is the way to go. I really like nitro, due to the speed, smell and power nitro offers, but I wanna drift also and I'm on a budget. I've been considering the exceed ultra. Is this a good car to start with and how is it drifting?

Ive seen the videos and it drifts good. Its not really up to the car, anything can drift, its the driver. I would say electric is better because a nitro motor will be at high revs constantly with not much air flow.

Brushless. The technology has come such a long way that a lot of people say that electric is actually faster than nitro with the right setup. The only problem is electric costs a lot to get into with the good stuff. There are ezrun brushless systems on nitrorcx.com for cheap. And just pick up some decent batteries and your good.

These are true 540 size motors, they are gonna be more powefull but more expensive, ive got the 8.5t in my redcat 1/10th truck with is like the dynamite. and it rips. Plus its a better esc. You can go with the 5.5 turn because its an on road, so it doesnt need as much torque. The lower the turn the less torque, but more rpm, more turns means more torque and less rpms.

These are technically 380 size motors, the cans are just 540 sized. They are gonna have less power, but are cheaper. Ive seen videos on youtube and they still rip. But might have to have a gear change. I might actually pick up the 13t and put it in one.
