Fastes Prop Plane out there
I built a Kougar 2 years ago but did not feel competent enough to fly. I took it out yesterday and with the help of a buddy I flew it 4 times and fell in love. It has a 46 Ax with a tune pipe and it moves pretty fast. I know now that I like speed better then 3D Flying and thinking of getting a faster plane. Any suggestions? Thanks PS. While waiting for air space I guy learning to fly his trainer lost control and busted a wing tip on the Kougar while parked. Hope to fix it soon. The pic is before the tune pipe

New to speed, I would say trying to find a scat cat or sonic 500 is your best bet. After that the fastest thing you can do on a budget is buy a fiberglass fuse/foam wing Q40 sport plane kit.
Yikes, I really need to proof read.

Hi!
Speed is nothing!
Flying together with others is everything! Try pylon racing instead if you want fun and excitement!
Below is a "Sonic 500" (also named China -Clipper) and "Great Planes "Viper" Q-500 racer!
Speed with an ordinary .40 sport engine, ASP .40, Webra .40 GT and TT .40 PRO SE (Which are the best engines today) with 10x6 RAM prop is around 180km/h using 80/20 fuel and Nova Rossi 4 glow plug. With a Nelson LS .40 engine and 10-15% nitro speed is around 250km/h.

Weston Magnum ($120) + used Neslon Q40 ($150) = ~196mph.

well they are out of production. right now in the market place one is listed in the racing section. They show up from time to time on ebay. I wouldn't pay more the 75.00 for the kit.

Blah blah blah, Speed is nothing! Speed is nothing! Speed is nothing!.......... I suppose that if you say it enough times in a row, and you are so patheticly slower than the people you have tried and failed to emulate (not the people you run with), that one could convince themself of of that.
