Default Patriot 40 (kit) engine mount

Hi Gang,

a long time ago, I started building a Patriot 40 kit. Stuff happened and I had to put it away. Anyway, I'm looking at the engine mount holes that I drilled years back. and I see that the mount is not centered in the firewall. It is closer to the bottom of the firewall than the top. Is this correct? I don't have the template anymore. Nor do I have the instructions.

I tried to take a picture. But my cheap cell phone camera is not very good.

Thanks,
Mum

That should be about right, the top of the fuse area over the engine
slopes down from the firewall to the back of the spinner ring/backplate.
I'll check the plans and let you know .

That would be great Jon... Thanks. All I have on my plans is a hole where the template used to be.

I have most of the plans. Looks like I cut the mount template out. I don't have the instruction book anymore. But all that's left is paint and the motor mounting.

Which motor mount are you guys using? I've got an adjustable GP mount. And it seems too bulky. I thought this adjustable mount was the one that came with the kit. But maybe not.

It is the mount that came with it. Here's a few pics from the plans Mum.
Hope these help. I can't seem to find the wing plans though, I'll probably
need these myself for a scratch build.

Hey mum,

Do the wing plans have the rib templates on it?
Is there enough info for a scratch-build?

Mum,

I am also missing a section from my fuse plans, the upper
left corner, what was there?

Thanks, Jon

Sorry about that Summer. I've had trouble connecting to the site. I think it's been down.

Darn... a 16 oz Tettra seems just touch too large.
