Default Scat cat or modern q500 wing

I stumbled on this guy while surfing the internet and its really got me motivated for my project again. Its basically a scat cat that has been cowled up and has a bit of a funky tail. My idea will be a low wing like the scat cat so I was wondering if I should go for a modern q500 wing or a scat cat wing for overall sport flying. Speed is a goal but not so much that I don't care about how well it flies as a sport plane.

Default RE: Scat cat or modern q500 wing

My idea for a 1930's inspired racer, I just need to get a scroll saw and some time. I'm basically taking all the dimensions off of the basic q500 setup, but with an inverted engine a skinnier and taller fuselage. I plan on just ordering foam cores for the wings as it would be a real pain for me to do a built up wing.
