Shrike 40 video!!!
I have a High Quality/Resolution Shrike vid of me flying the other day.
Dialup beware. This is a 57 MB file.
A few particulars:
It is 3:48 long encoded in the new HIMAT codec from Microsoft. It is at 720 X 480 resolution.
It will play fine on the new MediaPlayer 9 or with a short download of the codec from Microsoft on the older versions.
It has a few high speed passes that we estimated to be around 110MPH +/- a few.
It also has a pretty nice landing.
The videographer had a hard time keeping up a couple of times, but I cut most of that out to get the highlights. There is a little bit of blue sky at time with no action, but not to much.
Right click the link below and save. Enjoy!
Hopefully you find this worth the download time.

Can't say I blame the camera guy, he had a hard target to aim for.
Definitely going to try the tripod next time. But hey, there was some good footage right?

Shrike 40 video!!!
it is hard to keep up with a plane. I was using my buddies digital cam and its very small, fits in palm of hand... that was harder to keep steady than a regular high 8 vid camera...
even chasing an ultra stick with a saito 100... i had a hard time keeping up....was very aggravating
i been wanting to post some videos of my Diamond Dust on here but footage i have is not all that good. I had 2 very good videos on my DD...i rewound the video to watch again but forgot and taped my buddy flying. totally taped over video... so all i had was me saying i am running out of gas and need to land....and thats it...
so hopefully weather is going to work out this weekend.

RE: Shrike 40 video!!!
Hmm, the link isn't working []
What I usually do when filming planes is to AIM the camera at the model. I'm not looking through the viewfiner because it's very hard to follow the plane through that. I also set the focus manually to infinity and zoom completely out. I like to see ground to give some reference.
