RE: Magnum building questions
Ossie,
Do you have any good suggestions for the dolly? I've never built or used one. I'm looking for a simple dolly. Preferably non-steering.
Thanks VoodooRay...I'll try that.

RE: Magnum building questions
I built a dolly (taildragger) originally non steerable using 3 ply and 3/8 x 3/8 spruce for reinforcement. The front wheels are 2" dia mounted on a aluminium undercarriage I had lying around, the rear wheel is 1 3/4" dia. The acft has a slightly positive AofA (around 10deg) when sitting on the dolly. I adopted this method because the Magnum accelerates very quickly flying right off the dolly.
I said earlier "originally non steerable" mine now is steerable using a flight pack on the dolly for steering. I changed because the strip at the field where I normally fly at is fairly bumpy, the dolly bounced around a bit not allowing the acft to track straight down the strip. Changing it to steerable fixed that up.
If your field is smooth, a non steerable one may work OK
If you do a search on the Magnum threads, a guy posted a pic of a steerable tricycle dolly for his speed plane, mine is very similar but is a taildragger.
Cheers
Ossie
