Whiplash question
Hi All
I am about to fly the whiplash very soon. but have a few questions.
I lost the instructions, what are the recommended control throw's?
I have just 4/40 rods for the elevons, and they flex, what type of rods are people using?
Where is the cg?
What is the website for the whiplash???
Thanks
Bill

I can't find my instructions either.. but I know I use nothing but high rates cuz mine needs it when the engine quits ... I just have a LOT of expo put in..
I'm using the carbon rods that ACM makes for the Whip.. VERY nice and no flex..

RE: Whiplash question
You want a good bit on take off, at least 1/2" on elevons, even up to 5/8", then in flight, depending on the engine your running, you can cut back to 3/16" at high speeds, it depends on your actual speeds, the faster you go, the less you need, I made the mistake of leaving high rates in at about 190 mph and the roll rate was seemingly 10 rolls per second... [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]..
play it by ear, but use high rates on take off, you may need it, but be aware, you can over control...[X(]
let me know if I can help you, visit our website and send me an e mail direct..

RE: Whiplash question
On my standard version I use high rate elevator or a bit more on landing to hold the flair as long as possible just off the grass. My whiplash with dubb jett .50 at 4.5 lbs. it needs a clean hand launch holding the tail and balancing the wing tip.
the EXTREME version will fly tomorrow it the weather is good
