You didn't carve that thing out of that pile of firewood, did you....?

All kidding aside, if I were to build a delta for it, I'd probably put the engine upright, and make a nice sleek fairing for it.

I wish I could claim it as one of mine, it is Combattpigg's plane and photo, (awesome little bird) heck it looks fast with him holding it. He's pretty good carving though isn't he?
Well according to those (whom really know what there doing) that type of mounting (sidewinder) uses the entire mass of the plane to cancel the vibration loss of power to the prop, not just your tail moment. Cp has made mention that he has experimented adding mass to the cylinder he has seen an increase in rpm in a high spinning engine. (I think it involved clamping a pair of vise grips to the engine.)
Granted, with a RE motor it might take a bit of work to rig exhaust routing up. But you will wind up with less frontal area than with the best bubble top streamlining for a cowl job you can do. Your engine profile is already within the profile of the wing you can't get much more streamline than that.
But either way I think deltas are way cool. While the most accepted norm for a fast plane is a total reverse as far as planeform.
Right now I am into a hybrid fling wing/delta BWB phase anyhow.

Does R.P.M. make an after-market rod for those engines?
Is he still alive..?
He sure did make the best rods. They were standard equipment in a lot of competition engines.
Rudeboy, I keep a piped OS.32 around for the same exact reason why you like the Webra .36 on your delta.
What does Weston do to the Webra.36...?

Yes, exactly like that!

Well, as far as I can see they just have a go on the sleeve with a CNC mill, make a new head for it, and machine the carb out about as far as one could go structurally. The carb mounting is really thin with the pinch bolt setup...you can't really tighten it without hurting the carb, but it works if you're gentle.

OS should go over to Great Britain to see how they do the nickle plating...because it's really solid... It's just about as good as any old school ABC setup.

Rudeboy,

I have been searching the net for the DD plans, with no luck so far, I am interested in getting a set.

Thanks, Craig.
