Ops .65speed rca or os .65 vr abc for new 15% larger diamond dust
Hi Guys,
I am in the middle of building a new 15% larger Diamond dust and I have been looking for a good engine choice. I just found a NIB OS 65 VR and an OPS .65 Speed RCA listed on the auction site. What do you guys think, this could not be better timing
Thanks
Steve

You can certainly get parts for the OPS, I suppose you can for the OS too. The OPS can be easily upgraded to the 7-port .67 top end (swap the p/l set), and you can get the speed spinner and venturi from Bill Hughes if you want to go whole hog.

Which did you buy? I have a O.S. 65 VR DF and thought if you did not buy the OPS I would like to know what site it is on so I can take a look at it.
The O.S. 65 VR DF that I have has the longer threaded output shaft and that is something to watch for when considering a O.S. 65 VR.
They were made available both ways with long and short prop shafts.

I am not sure I would have ended up bidding hard or bidding at all. The fact that I forgot about the auction at closing time kind of sealed the deal. I have two .65's already and two NIB .45's, and I really need to stop buying OPS DF engines. I wonder if there is a local chapter of the OAA?

I swear at least 50% of the enjoyment of this hobby is imagining what you are or could do next, versus actually doing it. I find that fondling high performance engines is good for the soul.
