It would look right at home with a clown sitting in the cockpit.

Hey guys, do you think this airplane can have flutter problems with the ailerons at the ends of the wings?

I have a Weston 50 sitting on my bench waiting for a candidate

Why would they make the nose so short? It needs about 3 or 4 inches more nose . It looks silly. [:'(]

Why bother to make an ARF kit that is so visually out of whack

I have this plane. It does not luck as bad as in the picture. I had an OS 46 in it, flew just decent. No room to add a pipe or performance muffler like the Jettstream to make it scream. It has a nasty tendency to snap even at high speed and go into a death spin like those corsairs. That's how I cracked mine up. Snap at top of a loop at high speed and spiraled into a death spin right into the ground. Damage is repairable but I'm not sure I want to anymore.

Could it be possible that the snap problem is that your CG was not good???

Thx,

Isaac

Doubt it's cg problem because it did not behave badly on landings. I had about 5 flights on it. Might have been elevator being too sensitive/ too much throw. Will never know because I don't plan on repairing it any time soon. It's not a fast airframe with 46 motor to get me excited about getting it in the air anyway.

I have this plane with an O.S. 46 aswell. I love it......for a cheap wierd looking ARF. I paid 70 bucks with shipping from eBay. Goes together easy, always draws attention (good and bad) and I cannot get it to dessintegrate. Full throttle snap rolls, etc. It is alot of fun for a beater plane. Cuts right through the wind straight and true. And mine has no such death spiral problems. It seems like it ends up tail heavy because the instructions are retarded and tell you to put the tank toward the rear, nearly a foot away from the motor. I give it two thumbs up!!

The tank goes right behind the firewall.
