This can't be flown without three cups of strong coffee first.

Now let's see.. four OPS .65's, 4 bladed 9x6 props (SWAG), route the pipes sideways along the boom and exhaust downwards at the center..

Although..d'ya think the throttle response and general tractability, or rather the lack of it, might be a bit of an issue? Oh well, I think we'll have to use wings on IC speed models for some years to come.

That thing is wild.
Put some led lights on it and fly at night, wait for the UFO reports.

It appears he wasn't even using high pitched props. I fly a indoor micro quad that flying style is not easy... best I can do is some hover to flips back to hover.

What, you don't pore over over the quad reviews every month in MQN? Oh sorry, I meant MAN? Pretty sure I will let my subscription expire.. jeez Louise, they aren't airplanes. May as well print blank pages for all I care.

BTW SJN - yes I think this is cool.. at least it is something homemade and different! Wasn't trying to diss the topic.

I know exactly what you mean......its just a flying thing.....doesn`t look anything like a plane.....and its electric...yuck :-)
Some time ago I swore that I would never get one of those things......just doesn`t press any button for me at all........

The a hobbystore owner talked me into buying a 15 buck nano quad like this one:
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...900246684.html

And what do you know......it was actualy realy fun and flew quit well too.......buzzing around in the living room.

Then I had to try something a little bigger, so I got a 45 dollar Hubsan X4 like this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Hubsan-H107L-C.../dp/B00IZC6C8E

And it flew even better :-)

And then I thought it would be fun to have one with a camera on it.........
So I got one of these and a mobius camera :-)
http://www.besthobbymall.com/night-h...aft-frame.html

Took it to work the other day :-)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QaofdoNIVw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_11SPcE8OM

so hey...its just fun and games in between flying speed planes :-)

Well truth is, it's easier for me to go "yuck, quads" than to admit I'm hopeless at rotorcraft. I got my son the ProtoX FPV setup for Xmas, he loves it. I can hover, do a 360, and slowly fly around in front of myself. Totally wet behind the ears with choppers. But the other part of it is the simple truth that I just really like fixed wing aircraft and am indifferent to helicopters. Except for weird stuff like monocopters and torque reaction free flight stuff.

I fly heli's quads sexcopters....just about anything. But that guy is awesome! I've got of those quads that reverses pitch, and it doesn't stop in mid air like this thing. This is just the prototype of a powerfreak!
