Double D's for sale
#4
Again, very limited interest in this forum, most members know each other very well. Light heads up sales notices have been tolerated for years. It not like run of the mill ARFs are being listed in a much busier 3D flying forum for example. It's not like I check the speed plane classifieds often. Most members here know to keep it to a minimum anyway.

I don't remember when a regular poster to this forum has ever complained about a private notice for sale or some mom-n-pop vendor announcement. It's a niche forum, I'd rather find stuff here than elsewhere, and the forum traffic is light to begin with so there's little competition for bandwidth.

Well.. um.. until the next cool shiny temptation comes along..
My wife made a bold suggestion the other day, and I'm still struggling to understand what she means.
So get this - rather than buying more airplane toys and sneaking them into the workshop, she suggested that putting that money into the mortgage would actually be a better use of my income.

60LX FIRE: bench beak-n per Jett,
then was on Oakdale Phenom plane was too heavy for speed prop, 3 hand launches 3 belly landing in soft grass.
sold the plane, shelved the engine for later, headder not cut down yet, quiet pipe.
great compression "squeak" pinch at TDC is gone
open to offers....

Man... now it seems the DDs are popping up for sale / or peeps pulling an old kit from storage to sell. I had hard nuff time trying to get a print to rebuild mine... Like your DD with Jett 50. Have you tuned in engine with the pipe? May grab this one up. Originally I wanted a rear pipe, but since Dubb is close by my work, he talked me into a 46 with tuned side pipe. It does scream, but like to have another.
MJD...
Maybe you have better luck contacting Hubert Leubner for the pulse Jet. I have tried and never got a reply. Still hunting for a well built pulse jet and plane. I do not want a knock off HK one.
Also I ran across your Virus build.. How is it coming along? Or is it complete?
You can never have too many toys.. or too many projects. Ive got a queue myself.

Hubert hosted the Days of Speed and Thunder event in May, then went on vacation for the rest of the month. I'd just try him again.
The Virus is basically done, it is in the shop getting a final coat of black on the bottom, then finish the trim and install the batteries.
