RE: looking for whiplash video
Dang, I got REAL close!
What I have is killer if you know what you are looking at, it's not too hot if folks want to see one cruising the skies.

There should be one up soon in the DD/Whip comparison article. We got takeoff, high speed passes and aerobatics, and landing. Hopefully it'll be up soon.

LOL...
Chuck, I don't think a Whip loosing its engine in flight is good promo for his product... (that is, if you are talking about that particular vid)

Serge, there has to be a better way to launch your plane.
I am no speed expert, but that seems like not a good way.
It also sounds over proped, but I am not sure. What engine is that?

Yes I agree but keep in mind that was my maiden flight. I now run a little
and it launch with no problem. Live and learn like we say. lol.. You're right
about the prop. It was an APC 10X10. Way to overproped. I now use a
9X7.5 and it scream like hell! The engine is a OS 50 SX. Very fast but I am
wondering how faster I can go with the Jett 50 BSE...

Yeah..in This Thread I told of how it threw a blade and the engine separated from the plane. It was the fastest Whip on the planet for a couple of laps, I have the audio and what video came out. Just too much HP to pack into a 9X9, I'll use a different prop next time.

RE: looking for whiplash video
I'm gonna fix this one. It's not hurt any worse than one that got broke on a botched take off.
It was turning 20.5K on the ground here at home. On the first flight, I got off too lean and couldn't compensate even with the in-flight mixture, the 9 pitch unloads pretty good. The next flight I got off plenty rich and was just dialing the mixture in when it threw the blade. Esten will know the in-flight RPM, I sent him the audio portion. but it is still cackling pretty rich, maybe 21.5 or so in the air.
