Man, it was tough enough keeping up with the darn thing! That Whip is FAST! I like video taping Torque Rolls much better - much less of a challenge!

RE: whiplash video
Mr. Gricey, I'll put my whiplash against your Magnum, same engine, same everything and I'll bet any amount you'd like to bet that the whiplash smokes the magnum [&:]
as a matter of fact, I'll go 2-1 on the amount..
as Chuck said, you aint seen a whiplash perform yet...

RE: whiplash video
I would venture to state the WHIP RULES here. The craft looks to have more potential for speed than the Mag. As you can tell videos are very deceiving, people love to zoom in and out and move abruptly all while chasing a unpredictable subject.
I am by no means a pro camera man,but I do have some useful input here judging by the 2MEG of video I have captured here via RCU.
1.Use tripod
2.Do not ZOOM
3.Pick a sunny day
4.Use high end recorder
5.Use the landscape for reference
6. Keep the subject centered
7.Get close ups of the subject before and after the flight capture DETAIL.
This should improve your overall videos
KEEP EM coming great job.

You guys need to remember that the plane in the vid had a regular BB 46 on it. This vid is hardly a showing of the potential of this plane. I can't believe how much info people think they are getting from this amateur vid.

RE: whiplash video
Sorry 512 CES, I dont have a vid of mine with the west engine.
I only have some small old ones movies with a Topaz 46 engine on it. Its only going about 160 km/h

I agree with Ryan, this is just a couple year old BB.46 motor that has been on a few planes.... Put one on your magnum and see what happens:stupid: You will not get any better perfomance. Plus, it looks a little different in person than on a vid, you video experts know that.
So...where were all your vids at?

Ok guys, what engine would put in the Whiplash and Mag to really make them go?

RE: whiplash video
I asked this on another thread but wondered if anyone on this one had an opinion about a webra speed 40 on a DD. It is one of two power plants I'm considering. I have a DD kit and hope to build it in the next couple of weeks as time permits. It will be my 1st speed plane and I have a lot to learn.
Thanks for any light ya'll can shed on the subject.
