So the first prop is 100 bucks and each prop thereafter is 12 bucks? I send him what I want in wood and he can make a carbon copy?(pun intended) I'm interested. Whats the turnaround time?

A few years ago we set up some speed traps for fun to see what our toys could do (I should mention this was at an electric only field). We did runs with everything from a speed 400 powered pylon plane to a 27-cell F5B ship (essentially a high performance motor glider for those not familiar). The speed 400 planes topped off at a respectable 113mph (not bad for an $8 motor ) an F5D plane (7-cells) did 165mph and the 27-cell F5B ship did a pass at 224mph. This was a very informal gathering so no real records were recorded. I've been wanting to build a speed record plane for some time but it will have to wait a little longer. I'd like to push the 200mph on 12-14 cells and see what happens. My current F5D planes are in the 165mph course speed but can top 180+ in a dive.

Hi everybody.Love the chat on high speed machines.Have had two big failures with multi engine deltas recently.I have a single (.53 Rossi) powered Rapier with springair retracts that still is my fastest and most successful delta to date. The best twin I had used the Rapier with a pair of 46 irvines(weston pipes) no u/c and a dolly for t/o.The plane broke as many times as i tried to fly it due to big problems with dolly design.(nobody wants to launch a push pull for you). When it did get off the dolly its performance was outragious! The ultimate intention is to use a pair of Rossi 53 piped motors which I just happen to have in my possession. However,Irvines will remain on these machines until I get a reliable launch system sorted.Ideas PLEASE !!!!!!!!!

the whiplash as a launch thing like a ski ramp so we are told, something like a ramp would be good.
If not bring it down to Hayle sometime on a visit and im sure Cartman would throw it, dont worry, he only screws up throws half the time

Marc.
Try the recommended Diamond Dust launch. Grab one wing tip while setting the other on the ground and gently swing the plane. Sort of like a frisbee. I would first set up your engines on separate channels so the rear engine is at idle for this process. If you make a mistake you won't need to deal with a screaming pusher.

Guys,
If your lookin' for a fast airframe, and don't have the budget or time to build, pick up a Predator. It's cheap, an excellent ARF with all the right wood , in the right places, and it's fast!!!
I'm flying mine with a Max 46FX, with a Mac's muffler, and it's getting better each time I fly it. It's rock solid in flight, easy to take off and land , and just begs for more power!. Love to hear if anyone out there has put one of the high buck Jetts on one. With as little frontal area that it's showing, I'm sure it would give the deltas a run for their money.
