Rusto paints
Well, how 'bout it guys. Is Rustoleum safe to use on Gel Coat? It is fuel proof and available at the local hardware store. Would be a great option if it is safe.
Are the model paints like Monokote spray OK?
What about the Nelson Hobby water based paints? How do they hold up?
Any ideas?

RustOleum
Yes you can certainly use rustoleum, it would be fine, I would go over the paint with a urethane clear, but I believe that the rustoleum alone would be ok and fuelproof.
Another excellent paint to use would be Top Flight Lustre Coat, it is definately fuel proof...
and comes in amny colors that match monokote in case you use trim tape or covering on the whiplash..
