Free Quick Build Speed Plane Plans?
Looking for some free plans to scratch build a speed plane. Not planning on racing, but want a speedy sport plane.
I have a 46FX and I think what I'm looking for a Q500 type design. 4 channel, Box fuse, slab tail. I can cut my own foam cores, so only tip/root templates would be required, however, I would not know what type of spar/LE/TE reinforcement would be required under the sheeting for this type of aircraft.
I've got a plan for something called a "Pintail 500" that looks about right. It uses a constant chord wing core from a "Viper" and says the core can be bought from Matneys' Model Products. If the airfoil shown on the plan is accurate, I could just use it, but I'm not sure if it is the actual shape, or just for illustrative purposes.
